How We Work Remotely – and Why It Works for Us

Remote work is no “emergency mode” for us — it’s part of our everyday reality. To make it work, we need more than great technology. We rely on structure, communication, and genuine connection. That’s exactly what we focus on.

A Strong Onboarding as the Foundation
New colleagues never start into the unknown. Our onboarding is intentionally thorough, helping everyone quickly find their way into their roles, tools, and our team culture. From day one, there are clear points of contact, transparent processes, and a well-defined plan.

Regular Stand-ups – Local and Company-wide
To create closeness despite physical distance, we operate on two levels:
• Regional stand-ups provide space for quick, small-group exchanges.
• A monthly company-wide stand-up ensures everyone shares the same understanding — across achievements, goals, and updates.

Buddy System & Jour Fixes
No one works “remote and alone.”
• A buddy supports new employees throughout their first weeks.
• Regular check-ins with managers provide guidance and alignment.
• We also offer dedicated Jour Fixes for specific roles — for example, interns or junior colleagues — to support both professional and personal development.

Shared Experiences – Online & Offline
Remote does not mean “without connection.”
We organize online team events and in-person meetups at different locations to foster genuine face-to-face exchange and a strong sense of team belonging.

Our Greatest Challenges in Everyday Remote Work

  1. Finding common meeting times — especially during busy periods.
  2. Creating a welcoming atmosphere at a distance — ensuring new colleagues feel integrated even when we don’t see them daily.
  3. Maintaining a consistent flow of information — making sure important updates reach everyone without causing information overload.
  4. Sustaining team spirit — fostering motivation and cohesion online.
  5. Balancing flexibility and structure — remote work offers freedom, but it also requires clear rules to keep projects moving.

We address these challenges with clear processes, open communication, and a good amount of humanity — keeping our team closely connected across many kilometers.

Remote work is not just a work model — it’s a mindset.
With clear structures, genuine communication, and shared experiences, our team thrives even at a distance.
